50 groups will be selected to receive plants (about half will receive 32 plants and about half will receive 64 plants). Each group selected will also receive an accompanying educational sign to be displayed. Please contact NebraskaMonarchs@gmail.com with any questions.
If you are an individual seeking plants for private residential purposes, do not use this application form. Instead, plan to attend the free Native Plant Giveaway and Environmental Expo on Saturday, May 17th from 1-4pm at Omaha South High School (4519 S. 24th St. Omaha, NE 68107). The first 250 households to attend will receive a predesigned native perennial garden (16 plants to cover 60 square feet). This process will be first-come, first-served.
Eligibility and Details (Application Period: April 1 - 18):
Completion of the application is required by the deadline. Application takes about 10 minutes. Those selected to participate will be notified no later than May 1st via email.
To receive plants, organizations (non-profits, schools, churches, neighborhood associations, businesses, scout groups, clubs, etc.) and individuals may apply as long as plants will be planted in a shared space in Nebraska (not a private residential location).
Plants are available for pick up on Friday, May 16th from 3:30 pm-5:30 pm at Omaha South High School. Special accommodations (on a very limited basis) may be made for applicants from outside the Omaha area.
Applicants must commit to not reselling and not spraying any form of pesticide on any plants received.
